BKK Trip

(19 June 2008 - 23 June 2008)

Yes, a sudden decision 2months ago,

upon seeing the Jetstar promotion tickets

Haha..

2 long months to this long-awaited holiday

It's advisable to just book and go,

rather than to wait like a retard,

anticipating so much for 2 months

It's none other than the only word that could explains the waiting period

"TORTUROUS"

============

But well,

the waiting is over

and was certainly a fulfilling holiday

Spree-ed like nobody business

Hahahahahaha!!

Got use no use

Can wear cannot wear

Pretty pretty, ugly ugly

Prepared and left home for airport

and reached at 4.50am

1st to check in and I got my seat at row 3

Was early, so went round looking for things to snap

Everywhere in thailand has their King's picture!

Took a public taxi to the hotel

Yeah, stayed at the cheap budget hotel

First House Hotel located in the centre of pratunam shopping district

I swear when I stepped into the hotel

I got into total disappointment

And the worst nightmare was

THERE IS NO HAIRDRYER!!!

BUT THE WEBSITE STATES IT PROVIDES!!!

==================================

And I went on and on for 2days saying

"I WANT TO CHANGE HOTEL!!!"

Hahahaha!!

But well, afterall I stayed in that hotel for the rest of the days

and I find the hotel pretty okay for the price paid

It saved up alot to allow me to spree on shopping even more!!

And anyway,

I aspire to stay in these 2 hotels on my next trip / next-next trip

Baiyoke!

Amari Watergate

Their roadside foodstalls are certainly a must-try

Even though they use packet maggi to cook and sell,

I ate them almost everyday!!!

Cooked Noodle + Prawns and stuffs @ 30baht - 35baht (~S$1.40)

Cup Noodle from 7-eleven @ 15baht (~S$0.65)

Bottled Nata De Coco Flavoured Drink @ (~S$0.65)

Hit CentralWorld on our 1st day for NaRaYa

I don't know what it is and certainly has no idea

that it's actually such a popular brand in Thailand
where many people from SG/Msia/HK&etc

would go there and just grab baskets and baskets of the bags and accessories

Was plainly not interested at first

but in the end I grabbed some almost 1 basket full of NaRaYa stuffs too!!

It's price is certainly of affordable and perfect for gifts!!

This random shop looks so pretty and princessly

that I can't resist

but to have a shot with it

Not forgetting their BigC hypermarket which is so many way bigger than our Carrefour/Giant

I bought Lays for the colleagues in office!!

The oh-so-many-special-flavours!!

I shall next time buy in carton box then check in!!

ROFLLL!!

I see people doing that on the way back actually!!

And I regret for not doing it as well..

The first night was disastrous..

It rained so heavily in the evening that shops were all closed early

and could barely get around with a tiny little pink umbrella

Hence stucked in hotel

Hungry and room-service is what I'm left with

That I've already planned to go to them again before I come back to SG

Day 3 afternoon was a Saturday

Btw I gave up staying in Chatuchak for the rest of the day

The weather ain't compromising enough

So warm, so hot, so stuffy

And worst of all

the prices marked couldn't be bargained down

The most they discount is 10baht which is like no less at all

And to my belief,

the things there are much more expensiver than when I can easily get them at Pratunam

But maybe their stuffs are different la

But I just can't make myself spend that money over at Chatuchak..

I don't know why either

Hahahahahahaha

I didn't get to the pets area in Chatuchak

Call me a loser or whatever I don't care

I just don't like Chatuchak

Took cab back for afternoon nap and head to MBK

And the most ultimate motive of going MBK area was

HARD ROCK CAFE's ROCK SHOP~~

And also the nails parlour

Flowers&Strawberry for 250baht (~S$10.50)

Then of course got walked around MBK

And settled down for dinner in one of the MBK's restaurant

Sukishi is a Japanese+Korean Charcoal BBQ restaurant

They certainly have the yummilicious marinated beef ribs and squids

Their sotongs are nice lah!!

Day 4 was then decided to be a sightseeing day

Took a cab to Wat Po (The reclining buddha)

On the way

Thailand certainly has nice-gorgeous-structured-built temples all around

No tour guide was engaged

Hence I have no stories to tell about the buddha being a flat-footed, position, and every other infomation that it has

There is a row of pots from 1 end to the other end behind the buddha

I don't know what is it for

I just take it as donation

And paid 20baht for the satangs to tong tong tong tong the whole row of pots

The best thing I knew in this temple

and the best thing I get in this temple

is to snapshot this cat outside the temple

ROFLLLL

If only it's paw(hand) was supporting on the head

it would have looked like the famous buddha liao

Some traditional thai dance lesson within the temple

Just when we were about to leave the temple

Some cheaters which we beforehand knew we gonna meet

Introduced us the other temples, etc

But in real fact, they are just conman in cahoots with tuk-tuk drivers

To charge as cheap as 10bahts to bring you around the many temples

Then would on the way drop you at some jewellery shop

where they can earn free petrol vouchers for bringing tourist there

Marble Temple which the tuktuk driver brought us to

The place was so stuffy-ingly hot

That I gave up like Chatuchak

ROFLLL

Got the tuktuk driver to send us back to hotel asap

But he requested for a few more stops around the jewellery shops

Agreed lo, since we're actually so free there

Go Jewellery shops got aircon got free drinks

Went past the King's palace (That's his water fountain at one of the gate)

Thank god for we weren't kidnapped by the conman+tuktuk driver

Were safely sent back to the hotel

We then went around the Pratunam area again lo!!

Best shopping place liao!!

Then settled at Swensons for ice cream

Nice having ice cream on a hot day!!

We hit back hotel room early to do packing up

And the room's certainly in a big mess

Buy and buy

then try and try

then dump and dump

hence must pack and pack lor

Home Socks I bought!

After done with packing start usual camwhore again lor

And like what I've said earlier on

I want to massage again before coming back to SG

So prebooked in the morning for a massage in the night

And I had FootMassage+TraditionalThaiMassage this time

The fun-loving massagers which one of them wanted to follow us back

The massages really very shiok lah!!

I'm missing the massages now lor

But to do massage in local,

it's so expensive =(

Everything here is so expensive

I miss BKK =~(

The last day was terrible

Had the usual breakfast

Then shopped nearby a little

And prepared to get our ass out of the hotel by 12pm

or else charged additional

Had super terrible whole afternoon and evening waiting for the time to strike 8.50pm for the returning flight

Hahaha

We were early at the airport due to super boredness

It's such a relief that the check-in counters were opened early for like almost 2.5hrs

Where we checked in the big luggages and free to walk around the duty free

and to spend away the last few bahts

And I had ramen

it's awful but whatever

just want to finish up using the bahts

The very very last few bahts were spent on Kitkat & Mentos

Hahahahaha

Super long awaited flight back home

See how glad I was...

Night flights no good cause you see,

nothing much to snap

Well,

was simply too excited to be back home

that explains why no more photos after then

Hahahahaha

I was actually thinking of not going back to BKK so soon

But my this trip seems like it has tempted alot of people

ROFLLL

And now I see several trips back to BKK soon!!

To The Land Of Serenity

As mentioned before, the date to cemetry with moanie

It certainly feels errie before going

and upon reaching it wasn't that errie actually also

We went a big round spotting for spots

Anyways

Robot3 =(

That sad emoticon expressed my thoughts in robot3

Yeah...Die die finish snapping yesterday

and sent the roll of film for developing

So the excited and hopeful me

went to collect it before heading to paragon earlier on

But was totally disappointed by the photos that were developed

The auntie asked me not to use expired film cause the effect ain't good

BUT I DIDN'T!!!

The film expires in 2010

Supposedly 36shots became 17shots being able to process out

And the 17shots with mostly cmi ones

zZzZZzzZZzZZzzZZzzZZZZZzzzZZZzZzzzzzz

And the initial plan of bring fisheye out to snap our pretty orchard road

GOT SMASHED!

Hence this is where my fisheye went to..
